Southeastern Hackney Horse Association 

Program Rules:  

1).  All entries must be owned, trained and shown by currently active SHHA Regional members.  These classes are restricted to the SHHA Region which includes:  Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. The Regional Champion pony must be owned, trained and shown by a member of the listed states. There will be no exceptions.

 

2).  *NEW FOR 2025* We are waiving the Nomination Fee, which was previously $50.

 

3).  The Designated Horse Show will be announced on the SHHA website, the SHHA Facebook page and by email no later than March 1 of each year. The designated Horse Show is the Blue Ridge Classic Horse Show in Asheville, NC.

4).  The Regional Champion will be the highest placing nominated pony in their respective Championship classes and will be afforded a separate Victory Pass, ribbon and trophy in honor of their Regional Championship status. Should the Regional Champion also be the Championship class winner, a separate victory pass will be unnecessary, but the ribbon, trophy and monies will still be awarded to that entry.

5). All regular entry, stall and other fees are due to the horse show. Your SHHA nomination fee does not count as your entry fee for the class.

6). All of the show's requirements for showing in each championship must observed to be eligible for the SHHA Regional Champion Ribbon.

7). All nominated ponies must be registered with the AHHS.

​

8). While there will be only be one Championship Ribbon, the Regional Championship program will pay additional monies to the Top 3 SHHA nominated ponies in each class regardless of the class placing.

Payout Per Class:  Total payout in each class $225 payable to the owner of the pony.
